There was lots of talk about land reform during the Civil War which meant taking the land away from the planters who were not loyal to the Union. Therefore, forty acres was implemented on plantations to help the newly freed human beings and even “refugee” whites (as you will see).Just like the migrant crisis right now across our nation, it was extremely hard to figure out just how to bring the former slaves into the workforce so they could earn a decent living. Subsistence wages were the norm in lots of places and wages therefore varied. Lincoln had no plan. And voting rights was a critical issue talked about. The most highlighted transformation on voting rights which I read about last night took place in Florida on an island that I’ve enjoyed going to, Amelia Island where Blacks and Whites voted alongside each other in local elections.
My reading progressed from forty acres to forty acres and a mule. Anyone could predict that it was coming. Now we can turn to Greenland and Mexico thinking about Trump news. One of my readers precisely thought about Putin and his attack on Ukraine. Then I read Rex Huppke , whose new article should be read by millions of people to learn more about Trump and Greenland. The humor provided in that article is outstanding as he wrote “YES! Then Charlamagne tha God made Trump supporters feel great again as he pointed out just how powerful Trump’s assault on Greenland is. He either liked that a lot or he wrote to wake up the Democrats to what he considers is great behavior on Trump’s part. This is what tha God said “

Trump’s move burns like a KKK cross now against Mexico at a moment when it not only has a woman president, but also it’s first Jewish president. The Jews of Mexico reasoned with Netanyahu over his support of Trump’s wall and the Israeli backed away. Trump? He should resign even now. And Netanyahu and Tha God should have a podcast seen worldwide to clear things up.
And there is much more to share, since Trump’s Homeland Security appointee, General Kelly did not wish to deport some immigration violators and strongly recommended his own deputy, Kirstjen Nielson, as the new secretary. She had passed the test in both houses and the president had to sign off on her and he did that. Kelly told Trump that he was going to attend her swearing in. That must have been like Kamala Harris just now passing the torch of power to Trump as the electoral votes were counted and Trump was declared the next president.
By the way, Fox News and those cold ICE Council members were upset at Trump. They had just endorsed Trump in 2016.
Let’s not forget the Panama Canal and the hostages held by Hamas. Let’s clear up the hostages first. Trump is saying that “all hell will break loose” if there is no hostage deal before he takes office. Let’s hope he does not take office! He has a small selection of sayings that he keeps repeating such as “I didn’t know that woman” when there is lots of proof that he did. He also says, “that wouldn’t have happened under me.” It did remind me of a Republican who has criticized Trump repeatedly and that is Chris Christie. Just in case you did not know this about Christie, the ex-governor of New Jersey, he said while in office that no cop is going to be killed while he is in office. And guess what? I believe that no cop was killed while he was in office (in New Jersey). Lots of cops were killed all across the USA in those days (in Blue and Red states). Wouldn’t you want to see Trump say that no cop will be killed while I am in office and see what happens? Of course, Trump has declared what he did say while he was no longer in office. But I sensed the danger for Jews in Israel while Trump was in office, and I wrote about it. Trump lacked greatness in relation to Israel and the Mexican border. And now he is after the Canadian border so we can expect “all hell to break loose” over there as well. Hamas started making its plans while Trump was in office (seven years ago).What we wanted was a situation where Hamas would not make any such plans. Trump was part of that delivery system to 1,200 killed and hundreds of hostages.
Then Panama is being treated like Korea. Have you read Fear by Bob Woodward who Trump is suing right now. Korea and the Mexican border in the book are right next to each other. It took a quick read of pages only that were side by side. When we had the Trump-un situation, Trump said this IF (it was if) the US in the North Korea situation is attacked or forced to defend itself, “we will have no choice to totally destroy North Korea.”
Trump said that “You’ve got to show strength.” So let’s go on with “show.”
Lindsay Graham suggested that China should kill Un and replace him with a puppet general. Trump also told Tillerson, his Secretary of State, that he shouldn’t waste his time negotiating with Un, but in 2016 Trump said that he would negotiate with Un over a “hamburger.” And now in 2024, North Korean troops were ordered to Ukraine to fight for Trump’s great friend Putin. And I guess you could call what had taken place under Trump “hamburger diplomacy.”
And those troops are being killed in great numbers and Trump has done nothing since his credo is “that would not take place in my administration.” North Korea wants to grab South Korean.
Why can’t North Korea grab Panama, and the USA can grab South Korea? I am only kidding, but on second thought maybe that would work. The power of the USA, the total power, against North Korea instead of a South Korea is need of great help. Consider it an extension of Flushing, Queens and a message to Koreans everywhere and our allies that the United States is with you. And if North Korea in Panama moved against our interests (we know that China has great investments and strength in Latin America and the elsewhere) then the Monroe Doctrine could be invoked. Right now, it seems that Trump’s attack on Panama which is causing “a heat wave, a tropical heat wave, the temperature is rising” so it shouldn’t surprise you that that what Trump is doing in more like Marilyn Monroe that James Monroe. Leave Panama alone and make Republicans cause Trump to resign. And he should take JD and others with him.
Trump would do our nation a great thing and he has the make up on already and his hair is blonder now, so why can’t he put on a dress and reenact the Marilyn Monroe version of the song made popular by Ethel Merman and Ethel Waters by going on a tour and stop all that campaigning that is contributing to hate across the USA and around the world? If Bruce Jenner did it….?
And North Korea fired missiles under Trump and while he was not in office. And the beat goes on!
And trying to clear up this problem will also take lots of work, especially with Democrats who have voted Yes on the Laken legislation. And I just sent an article to the National Ice Council about antisemitism and hate. Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., who opposed the bill, acknowledged the terrible tragedy of Riley’s murder in a post on X. But, he said, “Attempting to honor her memory by passing a bill that requires mandatory detention without criminal charges–and without access to a bond or bail hearing–is a blatant assault on American values.” American values seem to be Trump values that were held precious by strong men like Hitler and Stalin. I don’t want to be held by any police jurisdiction without evidence and charges and I hope you would not wish that on me or anyone.
