I accidentally deleted an article yesterday, an incompleted one, about the Constitutional Crisis in France which was about the Fourth and Fifth Republics. But there was important news about a different pardonnez politics called simply presidential pardons. I woke up after midnight and there was news that Biden had pardoned his son. That I knew was going to cause a huge battle in the press in the politics. I was upset, went back to bed to sleep, and woke up. My fears were confirmed as I ate breakfast. This pardon is already fueling the flames of Trumpism. Then, perhaps as my brain woke up, I thought of Trump’s new appointee to France (Paris), the father of Jared Kushner, who Trump has designated his ambassador to France.
This ambassador to France, I realized would become Trump’s ambassador to France and not our nation’s ambassador to France. It made me think of Texaco during the 1930s which collaborated well with Hitler, providing oil on credit and whipping up agents in ports that told Hitler about ships leaving port. These ships could be torpedoed afterwards. Vive la France. I could do wonderful things for France and the USA without harming anyone’s interest. France must remain safe because Trump’s friend Putin has designed a plan to destroy the West, and its institutions and France is a target. I hope my readers will now the potential of Kushner who was pardoned by Trump to help Trump, hurt France, and even damage the future of the United States and its allies.
I want to be honest here. If Kushner’s father has been and is expected to be a friend of France, developing wonderful relations, I probably would say to give him a chance.
I contacted the White House, also, since I read that Biden is now reading a book on the history of Palestine, one hundred years of it. I researched Norman Finkelstein yesterday where he spoke about learning more about the Palestinians in the 1980s and he told his viewers that his “bias” caused him to begin the history of that region in 1947-48 which is the opposite of my “bias.” My “bias” is about telling the whole truth about history and that is what I sent to the White House. Part of that history is the massacre of innocent Jews in Hebron in 1929. I also know that Trump now wants his daughter’s father-in-law to be the ambassador of the Muslim community to the White House.
But let me quickly tell you about that “Constitutional crisis” that I started to write about. I have changed the scenario to speed things up. This again is something that the Republicans fighting for Trump whose criminal acts have been well documented and voted him in office anyway. The French know about how “amnesty” rewarded the criminals during the Dreyfus Affair and now criminals have been rewarded through immunity and you cannot indict a sitting president. Hell will probably break loose.
The crisis led to the destruction of the Third Republic as France was occupied by Hitler. The Fourth Republic was intent on keeping out the Communists, but even de Gaulle realized that France could not abuse this huge body of French people by not allowing their voice in the government. These were the men and women who fought valiantly for France when de Gaulle had left to set up his own government outside of it. He let the communists in the government. Decades later, the communists along with the socialists got control over the French National Assembly when Francois Mitterand became president (for 14 years and I wonder how that would make Trump feel right now).
That period in France could easily have precipitated another “constitutional crisis” which could have meant the formation of the Sixth Republic. The hate of the communists was there. But the book on Mitterrand was written in 2000 and the author wrote that France got accustomed to having the Left in the government. And I remind you that Mitterrand was in office for 14 years. The conclusion of this article is this. We are probably looking at our own “constitutional crisis” which would mean a new government, changing lots of things. I ask you to contemplate a new government that is much less democratic based on Trumpism and others including Putin and the leaders of North Korea, China, Iran, etc.
