A Message to Mohamed Hadid and Daughters Gigi and Bella

I wonder how people grow up in this world. In neither my school nor my home did we learn the fundamental history of the beginnings of the State of Israel. The Holocaust was the main event.

Mohemed Hadid and I are almost the same age, and I did not learn enough about Palestine, even in the 1980s. I learned about two things The Massacre of Hebron where non-Zionist Orthodox Jews were massacred in 1929 and Deir Yassin which was a massacre in 1948 during what is known as the “Nakba.” That massacre of Jews should be considered as an “original sin” just as slavery in America is considered that.

This very concerted attempt to portray hate for Israel in terms of racism (color identity) is easy to facilitate as long as people do not get the opportunity to read my work and the work of others. The Massacre of Hebron occurred around the time of the Tulsa Massacre (another massacre that we did not learn about in school). And I have pointed out that the massacre in 1929 was four years before the rise of Hitler.

In some of the debates about the conflict between Israel and Palestinians, it has been pointed out clearly that the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem was heavily involved with Adolph Hitler and even one historian who is not the favored historian of the Israelis has pointed out that 60 percent of the Palestinians favored the Nazis over the Allies. Did the Hadid children grow up with that information and is it known to Palestinian protestors and others on campus? And do the Jewish supporters of the pro-Palestinian protestors know it and realize that more than one in every two Palestinians could easily have decided to commit violence against Jews in Palestine. With that said, I know that Jewish lives were saved by other Palestinians and Israel recognized that.

Every single piece of information that I have seen about the Nakba including a list of terrorist attacks by Israelis never mentions 1929. The history of the Jews has been diminished as Nazis and Communists have diminished the history of Jews in Europe.

Every newspaper and particularly college newspapers right now should have this important information.

Mohamed Hadid has recently struck at Congressman Richie Torres for his support of Israel and making it seem that Torres is doing it for AIPAC money.

Here are his comments

“You worse than the rats of New York sewage system. They have bigger brains than you. You might get a job as bouncer at gay bar.”

and

“Make sure you dress as KKK to hide that ugly gray colored face of yours.”

and

“You are just unusual Black and colorful mouth for Israeli and AIPAC and looking for payday of over 500K.”

Mr. Hadid apologized, but the damage has been done and the history, again, has not been told in another apology.

And does Irsa Hirsi attending Barnard College, the daughter of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, know the same thing that I wrote about in Jewish Business News on March 10, 2019, and I informed the congresswoman’s office staff about it? The damage has been done and I had hoped for more students to know this important history.

And I have more to say!
